Questionable Products
I was really surprised today. One of our team members ordered a bunch of products from a reputable online store. None of them were Designed for Zune and none were licensed for connectors. There were at least 8 unauthorized products. Of those 8, four "worked" and 4 were not even the right connector. I took apart one of the "working" products and found that it was literally held together with masking tape. Considering that these were power adaptors that plug directly into a wall socket with 110 volts running into it, I thought it was pretty gutsy for someone to ship that let alone use it with their $250 Zune. So that begs a question, would you consider risking your Zune by using an unlicensed product?

Bill, are you able to list the products that didn't work to make sure that people are aware that they could be problems?
Don't treat us like specimens for your market research :) Help us by telling us about the bad guys.
i'm surprised that you're surprised by this. didn't you know that the web is a series of tubes chock full of junk like cheap knock off imports selling for low prices and high margins regardless of safety or function? the question is what will Microsoft do to protect the consumer from these ripoffs?

I bought a Zune third-party sync cable off eBay.. what a mistake. The connector was too small, and the guy kept claiming that he's personally tested it, etc.
